Waddup guys, back at it again with the “KidViews”. I know you guys been enjoying them thus far, so no long talking, lets get to it!
First Stop for this weekend was BeeYou’s Halloween Party also known as “Sin City“
This event is held by Melisa Desir of BeeYou Media, who I think is a young woman to keep your eye on, very hardworking! To know that she got a team together and put on a event that was such a success last year, left me motivated and wanting to see how high she’d go this time around.
I worked along with her last year in promotions and when approached to be a sponsor of this event, I gladly accepted.
At this point in time, the promo flyer was out with no dj’s or entertainment listed and it had looked so hype..
This was me:
Couple weeks passed and the dj’s featured list drop..
Okay, Okay…I don’t mind it too much
Then the featured person finally dropped and it was said to be Prince Marni & Suzan…
I’m not gonna lie to you, but I was kinda skeptical as to why Prince Marni?? I mean he’s a good comedian and such but I guess since it was a Halloween Event I was hoping for maybe a dope DJ like last year or something, ya know?
However, I knew the hard work being put into this event so I didn’t let that sway my excitement as to me going and such.
First thing on the agenda, was for myself and Anya (yall know her as Annie) to come up with an outfit to wear.
By now ya’ll know planning a outfit for a event is actually a thing I start from early. However, I wasn’t able to because I was dealing with the short film #SilenceSCREAMS (which you should check out if you haven’t btw).
Sooo, I had to come up with something more simple. I usually try to go as the many personas I make up in my head so I decided to go as #BadBwoyChavy.
See the look below:
For this look, I needed
- A bat – Linisa’s House
- My Black Paint
- Electric Black Tape – Epicurean #LOCALLLL
- Black Gloves – Linisa’s House
- Black Jacket – Kb2 Designs
- Black 3/4 Pants – Asos.com
So after this was sorted and the day came Anya and I rolled out around Mins to 1 so.
Other than the fact of Anya not remembering the entire road was blocked off and nearly doing this :
(love you Anya)
We arrived safely, the road was well filled with people in different costumes and such. I was very much pleased to see that folks actually dressed up in the spirit of Halloween.
This was one of my fav costumes for obvious reasons:
We had VIP Bands on so we decided to go check out the “Viper Lounge” which was the area for those in VIP.
Oh! For those who don’t know, the event was at the Last Call Bar, which is known to be a very open area.
However, When we arrived up there, we saw that it was completely covered with black cloth and separated completely from the general area (on the road) which I found to be surprising cause I did not at all expect that. That was such a innovative move, my only issue was that you couldn’t see what was happening outside where the djs were.
The environment was pretty cool, it had really cool lights and was also filled with AC Fans so you wouldn’t have felt hot at all and also alot of sweet items etc.
However, because it was completely separated and you couldn’t see what was going on outside we ended up going back into the general area as most persons did.
The DJ at the time I think was DJ Quixx, who was shelling down the place with them good tunes ya know.
Mans was like:
After a while, Stiffler went on the mic and you knew things was about to get realllll hype.
We looked across and saw Prince Marni and his company being accompanied by a police up to the stage.
When we saw the police following them, this was me and Anya tbh:
Ain’t NOBODY was about to perplex brother Marni’s soul.
What caught my attention was, across into the crowd I spotted someone familiar, that’s when I noticed that
THE SCAMMAH DEM DEYA!
It was super hilarious to me, “best outfit award” lmao!!!!!!
Anyways, so if I remember clearly, they wanted to someone to dance on marni, show them how Antiguans do things I guess.
Marni made his way to the center and the music started and this random girl stepped into the circle which had been formed around Prince Marni and his friend.
She did her little dance then the MC asked the crowd if she did it well
So after a few failed attempts from couple folks and prolly like one successful attempt ( I’m not calling ANY names so nah even ask)
I can’t remember who was on the Mic at this point but they then called the “Viper Girls” To jump in the circle..
Now for those who don’t know these are the actual Viper Strip Club Strippers who were at the event… (which I won’t go into my actual thoughts about this)
But…Soon as I saw them walking into the circle
this was me:
I just honestly prepared myself for the worse tbh.
I OBVIOUSLY DID NOT PREPARE MYSELF ENOUGH FOR WHAT I WITNESSED.
Okay so, first in mind everyone.
PLEASE BARE IN MIND THAT THE PARTY IS ON FRIARS HILL ROAD.
WHICH IS PAVED WITH CONCRETE AND GRAVEL.
WHICH IS VERY, VERY HARD.
WHICH WILL BRUISE YOUR SKIN IF YOU FALL ON IT.
GOT THE VISUAL ?
Okay, lettuce continue.
So, the music started and they started their normal routine I guess, the whole twerk thing.
But then, things went from 0 -100 REAL QUICK.
The girl started walking around the ring like a dog looking for somewhere to pee, then she went in the middle of the ring, jumped up in the air and landed in a split…on the hard..concrete..road.
Then she proceeded to start holding her legs and vibrating on the floor
Me at this point:
Then Marni’s friend started to do some dance moves, lifting up and spinning them round like:
Then Prince Marni flew in like :
But it’s when the strippers started going on headtop like:
and behaving like:
folding themselves up and all kinda other things…
That Anya and I was like:
I’m not too sure if I enjoyed Sin City to the fullest because of all that was happening, however I must say it was entertaining to say the least.
The decor, light effects etc was great, the Idea of the Viper Lounge was also really cool even tho it didn’t come off as well as it could have.
My only major issue was that Prince Marni didn’t really do anything much but dance with the girls and take pictures. Suzan obviously didn’t catch her flight either. I kinda expected him to host or something, ya know?
Other than that and the whole stripper epidemic it was a pretty cool event. I personally enjoyed last year alot more but I’m looking forward to seeing what BeeYou Media comes with next year as I know you’re gonna come harder.
My rating for this event is a 3/5
